Australia’s Biggest Gluten-Free Event Returns to Sydney in 2026

Australia’ss largest event dedicated to gluten-free living is set to return to Sydney when the Gluten-Free
Expo takes over the Kensington Room at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16
August 2026.

Presented by Coeliac Australia and proudly supported by Simply Wize as the Gold Sponsor, the two-day
event will bring together hundreds of gluten-free products, leading health experts, celebrity chefs, family
entertainment and community support in one inclusive and accessible destination.

Whether attendees are living with Coeliac Disease, managing gluten intolerance, supporting a family
member or simply exploring the latest food trends, the Gluten-Free Expo offers the opportunity to
discover, learn and connect.

Visitors can sample and purchase products from more than 45 exhibitors, including major brands such
as Arnott’s Biscuits, Schär, Lee Kum Kee, AYAM, OMG Donuts, Wholegreen Bakery, Venerdi and
Simply Wize, alongside emerging Australian food innovators and family-run businesses.
Coeliac Australia CEO Maryjane Aviles said the Expo continues to play an important role in bringing the
gluten-free community together.

For people living with Coeliac Disease, finding safe food options and reliable information can be
challenging. The Gluten-Free Expo creates a welcoming space where people can discover new products,
learn from trusted experts and connect with others who share similar experiences," they said.

Family Fun Takes Centre Stage
A major focus for the 2026 Expo is family-friendly programming, with a range of activities designed
specifically for children and young people.

 

Popular children’ss character Jack the Silly Yak will host interactive experiences throughout the weekend
and perform a live stage show at 12pm daily. Through storytelling, music and play-based learning, Jack
helps children living with Coeliac Disease build confidence, resilience and a sense of community.
Young foodies can also participate in Kids in the Kitchen workshops led by chef Antonio Moramarco,
with age-specific classes including cupcake decorating, gluten-free bliss balls and handmade gluten-free
potato gnocchi.

Adding to the excitement, the daily OMG Donut Eating Competition will see children compete on the
main stage for the chance to win a years worth of OMG Donuts vouchers.

The Expo’s speaker program features respected clinicians, dietitians and health professionals sharing the
latest advice on living well with Coeliac Disease and maintaining a gluten-free lifestyle.

Highlights include:
● Gut health to strength: rebuilding muscle and bone in Coeliac Disease presentations from
physiotherapist Natalie Simon
● A panel discussion featuring Professor Vincent Ho, Dr Kim Falkner-Hogg and other leading
experts answering audience Q&A’s
● Gut health and Coeliac Disease insights from Stephanie Gilroy
● Paediatric gastroenterologist, Dr Nitin Gupta, Dr Linda Thomas, psychologist, and other
panelists answering audience questions
● Label-reading workshops to help consumers shop with confidence with Dr Kim Faulkner-Hogg
● Cooking demonstrations from renowned gluten-free advocates and chefs

Commitment to Accessibility and Inclusion
For the first time, the Gluten-Free Expo will become a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower-friendly event,
reinforcing its commitment to creating a welcoming environment for all visitors.
Staff, volunteers and exhibitors will undertake awareness training to better support guests living with
non-visible disabilities and additional support needs.
The Expo will also host a dedicated Quiet Hour on Saturday 15 August from 4pm to 5pm, featuring
reduced sensory stimulation, no music throughout the venue and access to quieter activities.
Reserved showbags will be available for attendees participating during this session.
Competitions, Giveaways and Exclusive Products
Visitors will have the chance to win one of two premium hampers valued at more than $500, featuring
exhibitor products, a Panasonic Bread Maker and a $150 EFTPOS voucher.

More than 4,500 showbags will also be distributed across the weekend, packed with products and offers
from participating brands.
