Savour the Flavour: Inside Holland America Line’s Exclusive Destination Dining Event

Holland America Line celebrated the art of global flavours with an exclusive Savour The Journey – Destination Dining™ event aboard the Noordam at the White Bay Cruise Terminal.
The event also marked the conclusion of the Australia and New Zealand cruise season, with the Noordam ship departing Sydney to begin its Alaska season.
Key travel agents as well as travel and trade media enjoyed a five-course tasting menu highlighting flavours from Alaska, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Holland America Line’s Dutch heritage.
Each dish highlighted the cruise line’s commitment to fresh, responsibly sourced ingredients and regional flavours, with the Executive Chef onboard providing insights that offered guests an authentic taste of the destinations Holland America Line visits.
The menu featured Alaska crab cakes with cucumber and sweet chilli mustard, European inspired burrata and plum tomato salad with pistachio-garlic gremolata, fresh local Australian barramundi with macadamia purée and miso butter sauce, roasted prime rib cap of beef with and a Dutch-inspired finale of stroopwafel cheesecake and mini Bossche Bol.
Rob Coleman, Vice President of Sales at Holland America Line, shared insights into the 2026 season and beyond, highlighting the cruise line’s thoughtfully curated itineraries, mid-sized ships, and immersive experiences designed to combine comfort, intimacy, and access to nearly 470 ports worldwide.
