Sydney in July: World Cup Fan Zone, Ice Skating and Live Music

World Cup screenings at Tumbalong Park 

  • Upcoming games will be screened at Tumbalong Park, including Australia vs Egypt (Sat 4 Jul at 4am) and the World Cup Final (20 July at 5am).

  • For media accreditation, please register in advance by emailing gtough@keepleft.com.au to avoid disappointment on the day.

 

NAIDOC Week 

Sunday 5 – Sunday 12 July

  • Barangaroo, The Rocks and Darling Harbour are running a dedicated program of storytelling and community-led experiences to honour First Nations histories and living culture, including Welcome to Country, National Indigenous Art Fair and Cultural Tours.

 

 

Winter at Darling Harbour:

Ice Skating 

10am – 9pm, 27 June – 19 July

  • The much-loved Darling Harbour Ice Rink returns to Palm Grove Forecourt, welcoming skaters of all ages with sessions running daily. Skating aids for younger children are provided, with six ice skaters taking to the ice in a captivating 12-minute performance every Friday at 5:45pm and 6:45pm.

Arctic Activity Zone 

11am – 3pm, Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 July

  • There will be two days of FREE family fun, with little ones embarking on a self-guided scavenger hunt, a drop in dance den with live DJ performances, and a craft camp with activities including a slime station.

 

 

LIVE MUSIC:

Nocturne 

Every Friday and Saturday, 3 July – 25 July 2026

  • A winter after-dark program that invites audiences to experience live music spanning innovative classical music, folk-influenced works, classical guitar, string quartet and genre-crossing ensemble performances.

 

 

Jazz Sessions in The Rocks 

Thursday 2nd July, 6 – 8:30pm: Flora Carbo Percussion Ensemble

Thursday 30th July, 6 – 8:30pm: Kate Wadey Trio

  • Jazz Sessions is a very cosy setup of live jazz, amongst cobblestone laneways, with winter drinks (including mulled wine and espresso martini’s) on hand, and plenty of places nearby to grab a bite before or after.
