Iris Capital and TAB sign partnership deal

Hospitality developer Iris Group has signed a three-year deal with TAB which promises new features and advancements designed to enhance in-venue experiences.

With more than a 20-year history of association with the wagering group, Iris Capital’s 32 pubs are part of a portfolio including hotels, accommodation resorts and two casinos in Canberra and Alice Springs.

It runs the Hotel Steyne in Manly, Cambridge Tavern in Fairfield and Parramatta’s General Bourke.

Iris Capital’s Chief Operating Officer, Paul Devine, said the expansion of the TAB partnership meets the needs of the group’s customers.

“Together, we will raise the bar on entertainment in the Australian hospitality sector,” he said.

“We are backing TAB all the way and we’re backing Australian interests and jobs.”

The deal promises to provide a host of new features and advancements designed to enhance the in-venue experience, including opportunities for unique events and activations across the group’s portfolio of pubs.

TAB General Manager Retail and Racing Industry, Brenden Varcoe, said the company plans to provide an end-to-end experience for punters.

“We’re proud to be taking our long-standing wagering partnership to the next level with Iris, a company that shares our commitment to customer and innovative entertainment,” he said.

“We are revolutionising our retail experience across the network as part of our Next Gen TAB project and we can provide our partners with exclusive offers and markets for customers via TAB’s Venue Mode feature.

“This partnership will enable [TAB] to continue to deliver the best on-premises wagering experience across [Iris’] innovative network of venues.”
