Missy K Brings Her Iconic Dumplings to Watsons Bay Hotel This Winter!

Hot plates. Cold nights. Dumplings, drinks, and harbour views arrive at Watsons Bay Hotel with a new limited-time winter pop-up.

 

Winter is arriving at Watsons Bay Hotel with a whole new reason to visit. Launching Thursday 4 June and running until 29 August, Missy K x Watsons Bay is a limited-time collaboration transforming the hotels Sunset Room into a warm, flavour-packed winter destination where handmade dumplings, flowing drinks and harbour-side nights take centre stage.

Designed as a winter ritual by the water, the immersive pop-up reimagines Watsons Bay Hotel beyond its summer identity, creating a cosy indoor space where guests can settle in, share plates and stay a little longer.

Think steaming dumplings hitting the table, cocktails poured over long conversations, soft winter lighting, and the harbour backdrop beyond. Less about sunshine and spritzes, more about warmth and social dining.

Leading the collaboration is renowned Kim Udomdj, better known as Missy K, who brings more than three decades of culinary experience and a loyal Sydney following to the harbourfront venue. Known for her beloved Paddington restaurant and flavour-forward approach to Pan-Asian cuisine, Missy K has built a reputation for bold dishes that blend comfort and creativity.

 

 

The menu has been designed for sharing and grazing, featuring handmade dumplings, vibrant small plates and warming dishes layered with flavour. Guests can choose from an à la carte offering or gather a group for the $55pp banquet menu, featuring dishes such as Peking duck pancakes, handmade dumplings, prawn laksa, barramundi in Thai green curry sauce, soft shell crab bao and fried rice.

For those looking to turn daytime plans into long lunches, Saturdays will also see the launch of the Missy K Bottomless Brunch, bringing playful flavours and bottomless drinks together with the same warm, social energy.
