“Kazzi Beach Greek” Manly for a Greek Island Experience 

If you have been missing  out on your annual trip to the Greek islands recently  thanks to the Covid 19 Pandemic,..now is the time to reacquaint yourself with what you missed out on,..The owner of this establishment is the irrepressible,…Peter Papas,..a Merchant Banker by profession,.. who clearly has an obsessive attention to detail! Peter Papas has just opened his second Kazzi Beach Greek restaurant at North Steyne and it is amazing!

Peter describes Kazzi Beach Greek as a natural next chapter in his passion for bringing the most authentic Greek island experience to Australian beachside locations. According to Peter Papas,..  a visit to Kazzi Beach Greek is an experience, not just a meal!

The level of detail and authenticity is outstanding,…Peter imported all of the stonework floorings from Greece and additionally, all of the furniture has been imported from Patra in mainland Greece from a manufacturer who supplies 80 % of many of the Greek island Tavernas with their tables and chairs. Peter even replicated some of the traditional doors found on the island of Kastelorizzo by taking a photo and getting a local carpenter from Marrickville to work off images from the island. He went further and had the doors painted by an artist using an aging technique to create the true sense of period and history,..

Elsewhere Bougainvillea adorns the many alcoves that have been created in the main dining space,…

In the kitchen, Peter commissioned a custom-built Rotissererie that prepares the meat in “kontosouvli style” (over hot rocks) as is traditional in the Greek villages of the Dodecanese islands and throughout Greece!

COVID may have stopped us from travelling to Greece this year but in Kazzi Beach Greek Peter Papas has brought Greece to Manly.

 

 

The Menu continues to evolve in some exciting additions for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner however the essence remains the same which is a true offering of the Med Style diet for which Greece is famous healthy simple and of course Tasty and flavorsome. Kazzi Beach Greek showcases the very kind of Mediterranean style offerings found along the blue shores of the Aegean. Unlike Balmoral, the Manly restaurant is fully licensed and true to his theme throughout,  they have introduced modern Greek wines are part of the experience,..as well as Greek Beers Mythos and Fix.

Returning to Kazi’s Greek, however,..I would have to say this is one of the memorable  Greek food experiences on offer in Sydney and offers a fantastic atmosphere,.. not only do they serve fabulous food,..but they offer the aquamarine environment and the noisy Greek Music and slightly exuberant and energetic atmosphere that is on display at Kazzi’s,…The sound quality for the music is outstanding,

In addition, the ceilings have been treated with special sound-dampening materials,.so that the interior doesn’t get too noisy with a rowdy crowd.

The restaurant’s internal set-up is roomy and very stylish and tasteful,..and the outdoor terrace reminiscent of a Greek island beachfront is excellent and clearly, there was a huge amount of thought and attention invested in the fine details.

When dining here,..experience convinced me that it is wise to place yourself in the hands of the energetic and helpful staff,..including the exuberant waiters and waitresses or the restaurant manager …Valentino,.. who offer professional hospitality and will recommend the best Dishes on the Menu and organize the right sequence.

The last time dined here in a family group the staff brought some delicious Octopus and a  Plate of Mixed Grilled Meats (predominantly Pork),..but I have also had outstanding Marinated Lamb and Greek salad. The food servings are generous without being over the top,..and just the right amount of spices accenting the flavors. The fresh flavorsome greek salads invariably contain sweet ripe tomatoes, Herbs, and Feta cheese and dressing and a side of warm perfectly baked Pitta bread. You could not ask for more authentic and flavorsome Greek food.

 

Did I forget to mention the unusual Tomato Salad with the fried capers,..pictured above is worth trying! 

I usually finish my  meal with some delicious Greek Desserts,.. and I recently tried some delicious Fried Pitta Bread flavored with Honey
