Campari pays homage to Milano through the launch of an iconic new bottle inspired by its home

  • After ten years, Campari has redesigned its bottle with an innovative and timeless design inspired by Milano, the birthplace of the Aperitivo ritual
  • Campari will showcase the new bottle design at the upcoming 24th Biennale of Sydney arts main exhibition at White Bay Power Station

Sydney, 7 March, 2024

Campari celebrates the bond that has always existed between the brand and its hometown, Milano, with the launch of the new Campari bottle design inspired by a shared history that began in 1860. The new bottle reflects the sleek, minimalist fashion and contemporary design that Milano is known for – it is a visual homage to the city, combining effortlessness and understated elegance.

The direction of the lines, with a modern and direct cut, symbolise the journey of the Aperitivo ritual from Milano to the rest of the world, leading the eye to the city’s name in the center of the bottle. In addition, the dynamic movement and the tapering of the lines reflects the vitality and transformation over time that Milano and Campari have undergone together, from the past to the future, with an innovative and forward-thinking approach.

The harmonious union of two icons, Campari and the city of Milano, has continued for more than 160 years, a sign that the aperitivo spirit has found the city to be a perfect ally: a combination of modern and historical, classical and pioneering, entrepreneurial and enjoyable, reflecting the very essence of Campari. Milano encompasses creative souls of the most diverse facets, from the world of design and art.

Campari will join world renowned artists at the upcoming art exhibition the 24th Biennale of Sydney which runs from 9 March to 10 June 2024.

Celebrating art and honouring the aperitivo ritual, art enthusiasts can admire the new Campari bottle at the main exhibition at White Bay Power Station, serving a range of Campari cocktails including Negroni, Campari Spritz and Campari Soda. This will be the first time White Bay Power Station has been opened to the public in over 100 years.

This year will also mark Campari’s third year as the official Aperitif Partner of the Biennale, the largest contemporary art event of its kind in Australia, This partnership further cements Campari’s deep heritage and prominent history in arts and culture.

Paolo Marinoni, Marketing Director of Campari Australia shares:

“Since its creation, the Campari bottle has evolved alongside Milano, continuously drawing inspiration from its resourcefulness and its excitement, traits we feel are deeply bound to the spirit of our brand. We wanted to continue to pay homage to Milano through the design of the new Campari bottle and we could not be happier with the story it tells.

“We’re thrilled to showcase the new Campari design at the Biennale of Sydney alongside global artists and offer art enthusiasts a delicious refreshment.” Marinoni continued.
