The full school holidays lineup is here with a FREE festival, creative workshops and family‑friendly fun for kids of all ages.

Sydney, March 2026: School’s out for Easter and Darling Harbour is ready to help families make the most of every minute these Autumn School Holidays. From Saturday 4 April to Sunday 19 April, the precinct is running a jam-packed program of free family-friendly activities that will get little ones moving.

With cost-of-living front of mind for many households, there’s no need to spend a fortune on flights or pricey holiday camps, when the very best of Sydney is right on their doorstep. The program has been lovingly designed for kids to explore their talents – whether they want to strut their moves at the ultimate School Holiday Disco, explore Sydney’s best attractions, or get creative – with plenty of free activities and family friendly eats at $15 and under. The festivities wrap up on a high note with Jimmy Rees hosting the Great Laugh in the Park, bringing laughter and family fun to close out the program.

Full Program Highlights include:

School (Holiday) Disco | Saturday 4 April, 3pm-7pm – FREE

Enjoy a full day of fun from the Tumble zone with FunFit to K-Pop dance classes, live music from trio The Gumboots and a special DJ set from Kate Monroe – Australia’s “First Lady of House”, whose 90s club roots are sure to strike a nostalgic chord with parents – to keep the dancefloor pumping. Plus, don’t miss a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny!

  • Frame the Garden: From 11am – 2pm weekdays, mini artists can find inspiration in twisty bridges, colourful pavilions, rustling bamboo tunnels and sparkly koi ponds, perfect for curious minds. After sketching their favourite scene, kids will receive a free gift to frame their artwork – creating their very own Garden-inspired masterpiece to take home.

Great Laugh in the Park | Sunday 19 April, 11am-5pm –

  • To finish off the school holidays with laughter and family fun, The Great Laugh in the Park returns to Tumbalong Park for its own dedicated day. For families looking for further festivities, there is no shortage of ways to get the kids moving, from Fly Motion Bungy Trampolining to letting little ones find their inner peace at free Kid’s Yoga or letting them run wild at the Darling Harbour Playground. When the fuel has run out, there are 10 delicious, wallet-friendly offers to choose from, all priced at $15 and under, from Happy Meals at Auvers Cafe to a Donburi kids meal at Dopa Darling Square and Crazy Potato Pancakes at Pancakes on The Rocks, keeping costs low and spirits high.

If looking to explore Sydney’s best attractions at Darling Harbour while visiting, families must check out the underwater wonders at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and meet Australia’s unique wildlife at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo. During the school holidays, families will also be treated to the “Aussie Animal Passport”, where they can ‘travel’ around Australia, meet iconic animals and collect stamps and exclusive trading cards along the way, all without leaving the city.

Families looking to continue the fun can visit the SEA Museum, to dive deeper into the marine world with interactive exhibits and exciting displays, followed by action on the big screen at IMAX Sydney for this season’s star: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie!
