National Online Educator Development and Young Musician programme

Two online music education programs to feature in school holiday period

Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra presents the Young Mannheim Symphonists’
National ONLINE Spring Academy from Monday 27 to Tuesday 28 September.

And it follow up on 4 and 5 October with its National ONLINE Development Program for music educators!

The online youth seminar, designed for music students aged 15 to 23, is directed by the Orchestra’s co-artistic directors
Rachael Beesley
and Nicole van Bruggen, and offers a unique opportunity for students to gain confidence, knowledge, inspiration and expertise
that will empower them to begin making informed musical decisions on their own.

It will investigate Historically Informed Performance (HIP) primary and secondary sources,
and features guest speakers Anthea Cottee and Dr Neal Peres da Costa,
as well as masterclasses and Q&A mentoring sessions by Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra Principal Musicians.

The exciting, all-new Professional Development Program for music educators around the country likewise has a focus on (HIP)
and takes place ONLINE via Zoom on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 October with nightly 7pm to 8.30pm sessions.
The two-day seminar will feature internationally respected speakers and educators, including Rachael Beesley and Nicole van Bruggen
alongside guest speakers Dr Charles MacInnes, Dr Neal Peres Da Costa and Elizabeth W. Scott.

The full releases for each are attached along with details of the sessions and the expert musicians leading them.
Medium-sized photos are attached too and full details of all the artists are available, along with interview opportunities
and higher res and ‘action’ photos of all! Images from the sessions and local ‘angles’ available immediately after the two programs are completed.
