Sydney, NSW – March – The Rocks will dial up the Irish charm this March as St Patrick’s Day celebrations return bigger, greener and more vibrant than ever.

From 12 to 17 March 2026, The Rocks will be bursting with six days of Irish spirit, bringing together live music, cultural festivities, outdoor movie nights, street parties and a mighty spread of Irish food to keep everyone smiling.

With more than 20 events, exclusive retailer offers and unlimited food and drinks specials across the weekend, The Rocks is the city’s most exciting place to celebrate.

Anchored by the beloved Sydney St Patrick’s Day Festival weekend and Sydney’s iconic Irish pubs, everyone is invited to join in the fun where the city turns green.

Here are some of the best things to experience on St Patrick’s Day at The Rocks:

  • Sydney St Patrick’s Day Festival (14–15 March): The heart of the celebrations returns to First Fleet Park, with two days of FREE live Irish music, dancing and plenty of family entertainment
  • Free St Patrick’s Day Outdoor Cinema screening of Sing Street (12 March)Kick off the festivities with a free screening of coming-of-age musical comedy – drama film, Sing Street. You can grab some popcorn and wash it down with a Guinness!
  • Annual street party at The Mercantile (15 March)The Mercantile’s legendary street party returns to George Street in an emerald celebration. Join thousands of revellers for the iconic outdoor festivities, with live Irish bands, traditional dancers, authentic food stalls and cold Guinness on tap.
  • St Patrick’s Day breakfast (17 March): Feast on a hearty traditional Irish brekkie, washed down with a choice of Irish coffee or a creamy pint of Guinness, of course!
