WHY ISN’T DOMINELLO FOCUSED ON FIXING SERVICES NSW BUNGLE?
It is completely mind-boggling and galling to see the Minister for Customer Service today talking about changes to wedding registry and notifications, while Services NSW continues to fall further behind in processing emergency small business support.
There is nothing more important right now across government, than responding to the health and economic emergency of the covid-19 pandemic.
Victor Dominello is the minister responsible for Services NSW – the agency tasked with rolling out support to small businesses in the current Covid lockdown. And despite the best efforts of the hard working staff at Services NSW, the Minister and Government have completely thrown them and tens of thousands of NSW small businesses under bus.
The State Government roll-out of support for small businesses and grants via Services NSW has been an unmitigated disaster.
Mr Dominello has been largely absent from the public debate leaving the Premier to take questions on the inability of Services NSW to get small business funding out the door.

Posting selfies congratulating yourself on social media, demonstrates how out of touch the Minister is when hard working businesses are struggling to keep their doors open.
There is a time and place for prioritizing the reforms to wedding registration, but nothing right now is more important than supporting tens of thousands of small businesses and their workers.
For the general small business grants, Services NSW has received 116,233 applications with just under $1 billion still to go to small business, with $180 million still go out under the JobSaver cashflow boost program.
And for the $30-75k turnover micro business grants, Services NSW has received 25,616 applications with $11 million still to be paid out.
On yesterday alone, across the small business support programs, $35 million was paid out, while new applications received totalled $64 million.
Services NSW and Minister Dominello are falling further behind. It’s time he focused on this most important job!
