Each work is different, expressing a different mental process. While some pieces feel sombre and almost claustrophobic, others are softer and lighter, transmitting an atmosphere of hopefulness. See More → | | | | BRETT PIVA Brett Piva is a multi-disciplinary artist and curator based on the east coast of Australia. His work is inspired by the Australian bush, with natural patterns and lines visible throughout – speaking to the duality between the patterns encountered in our natural environment, and a seemingly more familiar urban landscape. See More → | | | | | | CELIA FERNANDEZ Celia Fernandez explores optical effects via her geometric abstractive painting style. Inspired by two of her major influences, Bridget Riley and Yayoi Kusama, she developed her own original technique. Through the use of dots she explores shapes, colour fields and reactions through layering, colour combinations and gradation of shade. Her almost hypnotizing pop pointillism displays a great amount of precision and detail playing with the illusion of perfection. See More → | | | | MARIE POL Marie Pol learned oil painting through years of art tuition from established (and famously strict) Russian masters, and honed her craft from that point with self-education and experimentation. By taking seemingly easy and familiar subjects, Marie Pol creates situations within her work that allow the viewer to wander between reality of the scene and the reality of the painting process. See More → | | | | | | | REMY ROBERTS Remy Roberts is a Sydney-based multi-disciplinary artist whose practice encompasses drawing, painting, and installation. Remy’s subject matter comes from a fascination with cartoons, graffiti, photography, plants and streetscapes and the subject of each piece is often inspired by his own photographs, which are dissected and used as black and white collage pieces throughout. See More → | | | | TYLER DAN Tyler Dan is an American artist, now living in coastal NSW, who creates work that is influenced by much of what she sees and experiences in the natural environment. An intuitive painter, Tyler never approaches the canvas with an exact plan for what each piece will become, instead using her relationship with colour and restricting her palettes to develop her abstractions to arrive at an organic result.
