After years of whispers, folk rock favourites The Middle East will reform for one-off performances this weekend for the 20th anniversary of indie stalwarts Spunk Records, performing some of their most enchanting songs. Also joined by special guests Machine Translations, Jack Ladder, Holly Throsby, The Ocean Party and Emma Russack.
Discover orchestral music by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, The National’s Bryce Dessner and Sufjan Stevens in a mesmerising program directed by Richard Tognetti. The works of these indie greats feature alongside the composers who inspired them – Karol Szymanowski and Witold Lutosławski.
