The Streets of Barangaroo Welcomes Cinder, Tea Republic and Grill’d, Expanding Sydney’s Waterfront Dining Scene

Media Release

Sydney 13 november,2025

The Streets of Barangaroo continues to evolve as one of Sydney’s most dynamic dining and lifestyle destinations, with three exciting new openings this spring – Cinder, Tea Republic and Grill’d.

“The Streets of Barangaroo has firmly established itself as one of Sydney’s most exciting dining destinations, offering a diverse mix of restaurants, cafés and retail experiences that continue to evolve with each new opening,” said Karin Ragel, Lendlease Head of Asset Management.

“Cinder, Tea Republic and Grill’d each bring something distinct to the precinct, from premium dining to grab-and-go favourites, and together they add even more energy to this vibrant waterfront community.”

Cinder has opened on Barangaroo Avenue, introducing an elevated take on the traditional Brazilian barbecue experience. Led by Brazilian owner Sasha and chef Raphael Rego, Cinder focuses on the art of cooking over charcoal, serving an all-you-can-eat Brazilian BBQ menu featuring premium cuts of 100% halal meat, grilled to perfection and served alongside a selection of vibrant sides.

The experience is complemented by a curated cocktail list made with in-house dehydrated fruits and freshly mixed ingredients, as well as a selection of indulgent
desserts that round out the offering. The restaurant features elegant interiors with 86 seats, including intimate bar seating and alfresco dining overlooking the waterfront.

Tea Republic has also opened its doors at One Sydney Harbour. Founded in Cabramatta, the premium bubble tea brand is known for its focus on quality ingredients and health-conscious blends, using real tea leaves and sugar cane instead of artificial powders. Signature drinks include roasted milk tea and green tangerine fruit tea, with a variety of customisable milk and fruit teas.

Rounding out the trio, Grill’d has opened its 175th restaurant at The Streets of Barangaroo, marking 20 years since the homegrown brand’s first location on Glenferrie Road in Melbourne.

“Barangaroo is one of Sydney’s fastest-growing harbourside precincts, attracting locals, city workers and visitors alike, so we’re incredibly excited to add the location to our Sydney CBD restaurant stable,” said Simon Crowe, Grill’d Founder and Managing Director.

The new openings continue to strengthen The Streets of Barangaroo’s reputation as a leading destination for dining and discovery, offering visitors even more reasons to explore its ever-evolving mix of restaurants, cafés and retail experiences along Sydney’s waterfront.
