School Holiday Classes are filling up fast!

 

Fun, hands-on cooking experiences, specially designed for kids…

It can be difficult to keep the kids busy in the winter school holidays – cold weather means playing outside isn’t always an option, and choruses of “I’m bored” become more common with each day that passes.

Sydney Seafood School’s kids-only cooking classes make it easy to get the kids out of the house and having fun in the kitchen. The kids can get messy folding up pot-sticker dumplings, making sticky sushi-rice, or make some delicious pasta and mix up their own sauces.

 

Our kids classes:

  • Help kids gain confidence in the kitchen.
  • Teach kids about how food is enjoyed in other cultures.
  • Teach kids kitchen safety.
  • Are altered according to the age and skill-level of the participants.
  • Are super fun and engaging!
 

Suitable for ages 7-13, the classes also include free parking for parents picking up and dropping off.

Dumpling-Making (June 29 and July 7)

At this hands-on lunchtime class the kids will learn to make make pot-sticker chicken and chive dumplings, and poached prawn dumplings, then sit down together to enjoy the results.

Sushi-Making
(June 30)

Sushi lovers can get nice and sticky while preparing different types of sushi, including traditional nigiri-zushi (fish-topped rice), sushi rolls, and hand-rolled sushi cones.

Pasta-Making (July 8)

Perfect for picky eaters, or those who haven’t yet developed a taste for seafood, our pasta-making class teaches kids to prepare two classic pasta dishes: potato gnocchi with basil pesto, and fresh egg pasta with Napoletana sauce.
