RAPTOR SQUAD MUSCLES UP WITH ADDITIONAL REGIONS AND MANPOWER
A muscled up NSW Police Force’s Raptor Squad will now have permanent bases in regional NSW, expanding to the state’s Northern and Southern regions to target and dismantle organised criminal networks.
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet said the launch of the Raptor North and Raptor South squads today will deliver an extra 30 staff, comprising investigators, Operations Support Group (OSG) operatives, and Traffic and Highway Patrol officers, to build on NSW’s crackdown on organised crime and criminal networks.
“We are putting criminals across regional NSW on notice with the Liberal and Nationals Government boosting the NSW Police Force’s Raptor Squad,” Mr Perrottet said.
“Our long-term economic plans mean we can invest in more police resources and a permanent presence of dedicated Raptor Squad officers across the northern and southern regions of our state, targeting dangerous outlaw motorcycle gangs and criminal networks.
“Every resident of our State deserves to feel safe in their communities and their homes. The Liberal and Nationals Government will not tolerate organised criminal activity that jeopardises the safety and lives of innocent members of our community.”
