Clive Palmer and his 10,000-plus United Australia Party team are bringing hope for Australians in 2019.

United Australia Party federal leader Clive Palmer announced in mid december  that the Australian Electoral Commission had approved the party’s application for registration and the party was now officially registered.

“This is a great day for the party and also for Australia,” Mr Palmer said.

Mr Palmer said that the United Australia Party was first established at a time when the nation needed stability early last century and was the party of choice by Australian Prime Ministers Joseph Lyons and Sir Robert Menzies.

“Its re-establishment and official approval today as a registered party under the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918  marks a significant milestone in the history of Australian politics,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“For the first time Australia has real choice instead of the duopoly that Liberal and Labor have created by voting together to keep other alternatives out of the Federal parliament.”

Mr Palmer said the party would contest all upper and lower house seats in the upcoming federal election and would seek to garner the support of all Australians.

In Townsville today, Mr Palmer said his fast-growing party would help make Australia great again with sound economic management, unlike the current Federal Government.

“Take for example the latest debacle with Australia’s submarines, converting nuclear fast-attack submarines to conventional power. Not only does this raise the potential for major cost blowouts, but will result in greatly diminished speeds and efficiency leaving Australia vulnerable,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“This decision by the Australian government has made our capacity in the ocean hopeless. We may as well have dinghies protecting us,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“Serious questions need to be asked as to why these types of decisions have been made which pose a huge risk to our security.

“The United Australia Party will provide solutions to problems. Problems made by men and women can be solved by men and women,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“It’s time to put Australia first. Together we can achieve the extraordinary.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.”
