(Sydney, Australia) Thursday November 23, 2017 – Leading Australian developer Crown Group has been awarded a top prize at this year’s 2017 Master Builders Association (MBA) NSW Excellence in Construction Awards.

Crown Group’s Husk & Vine Kitchen and Bar was named the winner of the “Interior Fitouts $1,600,001 – $2,000,000 category” during an event at Sydney’s The Star on Saturday November 4.

Opened in July, Husk & Vine Kitchen and Bar is located on the ground floor of Parramatta’s vertical village V by Crown Group at 45 Macquarie street and caters to a range of diners from locals looking for quality modern dishes to international visitors doing business in Sydney’s second CBD.

The interiors were created by Nic Graham with timber, leather and linen accents, while sandstones appear suspended in a mirrored infinity grid around a double-height void, a nod to the rock foundations the venue is built upon.

Judges at the awards praised the capability of Crown Group to deliver the innovative interior fitouts design.

“Specific treatments, some outstanding decor and exceptional finishes capture the lifestyle of today creating a vibrant atmosphere effectively fulfilling all of the owner’s aspirations,” MBA Judges commented.

“Everyone participating in this installation can be very proud of their efforts.”

The building is also home to Skye Hotel Suites, Parramatta’s first five-star hotel which opened on August 1. Together they form a unique new ‘vertical village’ as a beacon of luxury and style in Sydney’s West.

SKYE Hotel Suites comprises of 72 apartment-style suites with the finest bespoke furnishings and fittings. Each features L’Occitane toiletries, in-room fine-dining from on-site restaurant, pre-stocked maxi-bar, the unique ability to choose your own mattress firmness on each side of the bed, keyless entry and ‘virtual concierge’ tablets in every suite to access all hotel services. It also includes access to V by Crown Group’s resort-style pool, gym, expansive foyer, conference room, restaurant, sauna, business centre along with vibrant alfresco dining and a retail piazza.

Just beyond the restaurant, less than 200 metres away, is Parramatta Square, the focal point of Parramatta City Council’s multi-billion-dollar revitalisation of its city centre, which will eventually boast a new library with cutting-edge technology, art gallery, pedestrian links to a major transport interchange and a large, open-air public space earmarked for community events and festivals. Voted last year by the Urban Development Institute of Australia as Sydney’s most liveable suburb, Parramatta is forecast to grow in population by 40 percent to 201,000 by 2031.

Crown Group Director of Hotels and Suites Wayne Taranto said Husk & Vine Kitchen and Bar appealed to both locals and visitors.

“We’re honoured to be named a winner in category of interior fitouts at the prestigious MBA awards for 2017,” Mr Taranto said.

“With just five months since it opened, Husk & Vine Kitchen and Bar has already become a favourite ‘hot spot’ to dine in Parramatta.”

“Husk & Vine Kitchen and Bar delivers a quality dining experience, while SKYE Hotel Suites offers luxury five-star lifestyle.”

“With the successful grand opening and strong demand of SKYE Hotel Suite in Parramatta, we see the anticipated future success of SKYE Hotels Suites in Sydney’s CBD in mid-2018 and Green Square in 2019,” he added.
