New Sydney Football Stadium design
To be completed by 2022, the new stadium offers fans a world-class experience incorporating technology, design and amazing views.
The new stadium will offer a safe and outstanding experience. The natural environment has been an inspiration in the design with bronze façade to reflect Sydney’s unique sandstone geology.
The state-of-the-art roof will look lightweight and cloud-like and the design will reflect noise back into the stadium. The whole underside can be lit up in the home team’s colours, creating a colosseum of light and sound.
Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres said the new Sydney Football Stadium will set the standard for rectangular stadiums in Australia.
“The new Sydney Football Stadium and Western Sydney stadiums will bring Sydney stadia into the 21st century,” Mr Ayres said.
“Sydney Football Stadium is a stadium for fans that will offer an experience like no other.”
