COVID-19 booster shots now available

NSW Government
elderly Asian couple after receiving 3rd dose of covid vaccine

Dear Reader

If you’re aged 18 years and over and your second dose was more than six months ago, you can now receive a booster vaccination.

You can check when you received your second dose by looking at your immunisation history statement or COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

Getting the booster vaccination is not mandatory but it will strengthen your immune system and help maintain a high level of protection against serious illness from the COVID-19 virus.

Find a vaccination provider on the Vaccine Clinic Finder.

Get notified if you’ve been to a COVID-19 exposure site

The Service NSW app now includes a new feature that lets you know when you’ve been to a location with a COVID-19 positive case. You will also receive a message on your phone if you’ve opted in to receive push notifications in the app’s preferences.

If you don’t have push notifications switched on, you can still see if you’ve checked in to a location on the same day as a COVID-19 case in your check-in history. This will display as a red icon.

You’ll need to install the latest version of the Service NSW app.
