What’s On in Sydney Guide -The Week November 13 – 19

Sydney

Thursday 13 November,2025

Get ready for an electrifying week in Sydney! From world-class design markets and celebrated classical music to thought-provoking theatre and the freshest seasonal produce, the Harbour City is buzzing with activity.

 Events, Design, and Community Highlights

The major drawcard this week is undoubtedly The Finders Keepers Sydney Design Market, which returns to Carriageworks (245 Wilson St, Eveleigh) for a spectacular three-day run. The market kicks off on Friday, November 14 (4:00pm – 9:00pm) and continues Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16 (10:00am – 5:00pm). Expect over 200 designers and makers, unique gift ideas, fresh local food, bars, and live musicians. Entry is payable, with tickets from $8-$12 available via Humanitix.

On the water, the Sydney International On-Water Boat Show is wrapping up its run. You can catch the final days of the showcase, featuring luxury boats and marine technology, from Thursday, November 13, to Sunday, November 16 across Darling Harbour. Tickets start from $29.

For a unique cultural experience, the Stargazer Cinema continues its run in the Barangaroo Precinct until November 20, showcasing powerful First Nations stories under the stars. Check the Barangaroo official website for specific screening times and tickets.

Arts & Culture: Stage, Screen, and Galleries

On Stage: Classical, Opera, and Theatre

Classical music enthusiasts have two magnificent offerings. Bach Akademie Australia presents The Brandenburg Concertos at the stunning Pier 2/3 (13 Hickson Rd, Dawes Point) on Saturday, November 15 (7:30pm) and Sunday, November 16 (2:30pm). Tickets can be booked via https://www.google.com/search?q=bachakademieaustralia.com.au/events.

Meanwhile, at the Sydney Opera House (Bennelong Point, Sydney), renowned conductor Simone Young leads the monumental opera Siegfried on Thursday, November 13, and Sunday, November 16.

The curtains are also closing on two major stage productions this week. The celebrated musical Calamity Jane has its final performances at the Studio, Sydney Opera House, ending Sunday, November 16 (tickets from $89 + booking fee). Similarly, the modern theatrical work The Lovers wraps up its run across various Sydney City venues on Sunday, November 16 (tickets from $69).

Galleries and Exhibitions

History and art are well represented. The Anzac Memorial Exhibition continues its display of Treasures of the Anzac Memorial Exhibition in Hyde Park, Sydney, running until January 31, 2026. For local art, you can view The Baker Boys exhibition, showcasing two generations of artistic legacy in Sydney West until November 29 (check local listings for the exact venue).

 Concerts & Entertainment

The State Theatre (49 Market St, Sydney) hosts a line-up of major international acts this week:

  • Thursday, November 13: David Gray – Past & Present Tour (7:30pm). Tickets are highly sought after via Ticketmaster.
  • Friday, November 14: An Evening with Cowboy Junkies – Celebrating 40 Years (7:30pm).
  • Saturday, November 15: Rockwiz returns for a night of music and trivia.

Over at the ICC Sydney Theatre (14 Darling Dr, Sydney), you can catch two major shows on Sunday, November 16: Stardew Valley: Symphony of Seasons and Steven Wilson – The Overview Tour. Booking for ICC Sydney events can be done through their official website.

For a laugh, Harvey Comedy – Sydney’s Hottest Comedy Club runs its weekly show on Thursday, November 13, in an Inner Sydney venue (tickets from $21.53).

 Providore Markets and Seasonal Produce

The focus for foodies this week is twofold. Firstly, the Finders Keepers Market (see above) offers a superb selection of gourmet food vendors alongside the design stalls.

Secondly, the Sydney Markets Produce Report for the week highlights excellent value on fresh produce. Look out for the first arrivals of apricots, new-season peaches and nectarines, and plentiful seedless watermelons and Aussie mangoes. For vegetables, there is great value on eggplants, carrots, and beautiful Victorian asparagus. For specific retail prices and produce details, contact Sue Dodd on 0438 725 453 or visit the Sydney Markets website.
