Maximum temperatures continuing in the low to mid forties west of the ranges, and reaching the mid to high thirties along the coast and ranges increasing to the low forties on the ranges early this week.
Overnight minimum temperature mid twenties to the low thirties west of the ranges, reaching mid teens to low twenties along the coast and low to mid teens along the ranges.
Severe to extreme heatwave conditions are expected to intensify early this week.
Locations likely to be impacted include Armidale, Albury, Broken Hill, Dubbo, Deniliquin, Lismore, Moree, Orange, Tamworth and Wagga Wagga

Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
