Blak Markets return to The Rocks as Sydney’s longest running Indigenous market

Publicity Release

Sydney, November 2025
For one day only on Sunday 30 November, The Rocks will come alive with a vibrant celebration of art and culture as the Blak Markets return to Tallawoladah Lawn.
As the longest-running Indigenous market, the Blak Markets offer visitors a rare chance to buy directly from Indigenous artists and hear the stories behind their creations. Visitors can become immersed in a day filled with rich ceremony, powerful performances and cultural workshops.
From discovering unique, handmade treasures across 15 handpicked Indigenous stalls to taking part in a diverse range of creative and cultural activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy – making it the perfect spot for feel-good shopping.
Visitors can explore original and affordable artworks, one-of-a-kind handcrafted homewares, jewellery, and bushfood products, with 100% of proceeds going directly back to stallholders. By chatting directly with the makers, guests gain a deeper appreciation of the culture and craftmanship behind each piece.
CEO of First Hand Solutions, Peter Cooley, said “We are excited to be back on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour with our Blak Markets at The Rocks. The Markets have become a real favourite for Sydneysiders with its unique offering.”
