SYDNEY, NSW—Sydney’s lucrative spring racing season, the Sydney Everest Carnival, is set for a spectacular climax with two major races featuring multi-million dollar prize money in the first week of November. The focus shifts from Royal Randwick on Cup Day to Rosehill Gardens for the grand finale.

The action begins on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Royal Randwick with The Big Dance, Sydney’s definitive Cup Day celebration.

- Prize Money: $3 million
- Distance: 1,600 metres (a mile)
- Conditions: Quality Handicap, restricted to horses that have placed first or second in one of the designated New South Wales Country Cups.
The race, which runs shortly before the Melbourne Cup, brings the best of regional racing to the city for a shot at the massive prize. Beyond the track, Randwick promises a festival atmosphere with vibrant fashion, gourmet food and drink, and a major After The Last concert to cap off the Tuesday public holiday celebrations.
