Sydney Fringe Festival Returns to Hurstville in 2025

Wednesday,20 August,2025

Georges River Council is gearing up for a spectacular September as the Sydney Fringe Festival returns to celebrate culture, connection, and imagination.

This year’s program is bursting with colour and creativity as the city’s most exciting independent arts festival takes over our streets, plazas, and libraries. Feast returns with an all-star lineup of storytellers guaranteed to delight and inspire. Fringeville will once again light up Hurstville Plaza, showcasing a vibrant display of performance and culture, while Fringe at Hurstville Library expands the program with a dynamic series of free creative workshops.

Whether you are a curious creator or simply there to enjoy the experience, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The Sydney Fringe Festival is the perfect opportunity to try something new, meet like-minded people, and be part of a vibrant celebration of creativity in the heart of Georges River.

Mayor Elise Borg said, “This September, Georges River will once again come alive with creativity, colour, and connection as the Sydney Fringe Festival returns, bigger, bolder, and more imaginative than ever before.

“This vibrant festival reflects the rich cultural fabric of our community and creates opportunities for everyone to experience the joy of creativity. I encourage everyone to come along, get involved, and be inspired.”
